“The men and women of Rally Cycling are crazy about Sunflower Oat Balls this season. They are a perfect mashup of everything you need for quick fuel on the bike. I make them with sunflower butter for unique flavor and mix in healthy, tasty extras like chia seeds and maple syrup.” - Sarah Engen, Rally Cycling Soigneur
1. Measure, add each ingredient to a large mixing bowl.
2. Stir mixture with cleans hands. Using your hands is easiest when working with oats and honey – you can feel the texture change as the ingredients become evenly mixed.
3. Once completely mixed, start forming 1½ inch balls from the mixture with your hands.
4. Place balls on a baking sheet or cutting board and place in freezer for at least one hour to solidify.
5. Wrap each ball in tinfoil for an on-the-go snack, or sprinkle with shredded coconut and serve them straight out of the freezer!
