“Hard work and discipline always pays off. It might take time before you see the result, but it always happens.”
What inspired you to ride?
When I was 10, I watched Keven Lacombe wear the leader’s jersey at the Tour de l’Abitibi in my hometown. Watching Keven, a rider who also came from Amos, a town in Abitibi, inspired me to start racing.
Racing obstacle you overcame?
Education is important to me and I never wanted to give up school to ride my bike. So my biggest obstacle was to try to do both, studying and cycling at the same time.
Favorite cheat meal?
Kettle Honey Dijon chips.
Favorite healthy meal or snack?
One of my favorite meals is a moose chili.
Tip for staying healthy?
There are so many ways to take shortcuts in terms of meals and activities, but if you train consistently, and you make the right nutritional choices, the benefits to your health will be that much more satisfying.
