Everyone has had their good days and bad days and what’s important is how you react and learn from them.

About

What inspired you to ride?

I first started to ride a bike for speed skating because it was necessary for our training in the summer. It wasn't until I saw the London 2012 Team Pursuit women race on TV, and win Bronze, that I thought about how fun it could be to do competitively.

Racing obstacle you overcame?

I was 24 years old when I started cycling and this was the biggest obstacle in becoming professional because I had lacked so much experience that a cyclist already has at that age.

Favorite cheat meal?

Hands down anything chocolate and dessert! I also love poutines - French fries, cheese curds and gravy.

Favorite healthy meal or snack?

Greek yogurt with maple syrup, chopped fresh strawberries and chocolate chunks stirred into it. It is sort of like pretend ice cream.

Tip for staying healthy?

Everything in moderation.
